This is a beautiful territory, characterized by gentle plains and small hills, where the fertile soil is well prepared for the cultivation not only of wheat and sunflowers,but also of aromatic plants and medicinal herbs. It is a large area south of Tuscany,located between the municipalities of Orciano Pisano and Santa Luce. And it’s beautiful especially in June, when the wheat is harvested.
The accompanying photos of this article were taken during the harvest period of the wheat,you can see fields already harvested, with the characteristic sheaths of round wheat and fields still to be harvested. Housing is scarce, it is mainly farms that cultivate these territories. There is no shortage of large wooded spaces that are really beautiful and suitable for walks for the elderly and children, being the rolling hills really very comfortable.
