FiveM: How to Join Modded Unofficial GTA V Servers

GTA V stands for GRAND THIEF AUTO V. The fifth edition of a video game developed by ROCKSTAR NORTH and belonging to the category of dynamic adventure games. It is available for several platforms including play station, xbox and pc.

It can be played in both single player and multiplayer modes. In single player mode, a pre-packaged story is available in the location of San Andreas in California where, following a pure fantasy scenario, the player can carry out an adventure by playing the three main protagonists. In the multiplayer mode, it is possible to play by interacting with other people in order to carry out various cooperative missions and much more.

In the multiplayer mode, there is a need to access a server, which can be a player's machine or even a dedicated machine. There are both unofficial servers, i.e. not made available by the game manufacturer, and official servers.

Just like all games, in the long run, the classic mechanics can get tiring, and official, semi-official and unofficial expansion packs have therefore sprung up to enrich the player experience. These are additions that can work either in single player mode with certain tricks or in multi-player mode if the unofficial server where you are playing is set up with a programme that in this case is called FIVEM.

It is not very easy to play because the characters have a fairly high mobility and therefore it is necessary to learn over time all those keys or combinations that are needed to make you move properly. The key combinations to play GTA V vary depending on the settings that can be customised, but we'll write a special article called ‘keys to play GTA V’ anyway.

As I specified earlier, in order to play on a private server with mods, in addition to needing the game already installed and started at least once, you also need the FIVEM programme which you can download from here.

Once installed, FIVEM will then need to be started, you will be prompted to enter the full path where you installed the game and then it will start directly in the window.

You will see a screen where there is a list of servers at the top, click on this link and from the next screen you will see a number of servers. On the left hand side there is the filter, you can filter by language or style of play.

I advise you very strongly, at least in the beginning, to stay away from whitelisted servers as I also wrote in an article of the same name because they are selective servers.

Always remember that this is just a game and that your character can be deleted at any time, even without warning, because private servers are owned by private persons who can decide at their own discretion how long the server should remain active, which people can play on their servers and much more.

I hope this article will be of some use to someone, feel free to ask questions via the comments at the bottom of the page and don't forget to share this article with your friends.
